My dad told me a story about this dress. It seems that while Great-Grandma
Bruner was making this dress, Treva became ill. The doctor came to check on
Treva, and as he was leaving he asked Grandma what she was working on. When
she told him she was making Treva's graduation dress, his alledgedly replied
that she would probably be burying Treva in it instead. Fortunately
he was wrong.
